I can’t capture how this morning feels. But I am collecting here the things that I’ve read and seen in the last twelve hours that give me some kind of way forward.
“Donald Trump and the Fall of Whiteness” by Michael Mark Coen
Written before the election, this has some pithy relevant reflections on the the long game. Coen reminds us that: “White supremacy will neither end on its own nor will it end quietly.”
“A Secret Letter to Black Millennials” by Derrek N. Ashong
Also written before the Tuesday, Ashong frames the election as a bad horror movie.
And two important things that were posted this morning . . .
I get the “don’t mourn. Organize” thing. Sure. But tbh it’s cool if you take the space to mourn. Mourn. Do mourn. Mourn. Then organize.
