Image: My parents and me, chemo #5
Just a short update as I want to put my energy into a second post.
Pain and side effects are mostly the same this week with the exception of decreased eating and weight loss. My radiation doctor is pleased with the progress of shrinking the tumors on the back of my throat and in my lymph node.
My parents stayed the night and took me to chemo this week. It was same as always: a long time of sitting, lots of time to talk or nap, no game this week (thank goodness — I’m still wincing from the Chess thrashing Noah gave me last week).
Not reading as much this week, maybe from reduced energy but maybe from being spread too thin across several books (four at the moment). I’m going to have to cut the lines on some I’m in the middle off and focus on one or two. I’m balanced at the end of Yoga waiting until Eden catches up with me so that we can finish it together.
Haven’t been walking or meditating this week. Not walking to conserve energy due to eating less; not meditating because I have not made it priority. I could still be doing that, and I’ll be giving it a run later today.
Thanks for checking in on my progress. Have a look at my other post, “Who I’ve seen (or will see) this week”, also up today on all the awesome people I saw this week.
