If you’re driving me to an appointment . . .
Please pick me up at 2.30p from my house (address in the email that I will send you in advance) Feel free to let me know when you’re on the way to me with a text if you’d like. I’ll be ready to walk out the door at 2.30 sharp! We’ll be headed to Winship Emory Midtown, 36 Linden Ave, Atl, 30308. If your journey ends here, thank you! Out the roundabout you go and onto the highway.
If you’re waiting with me to take me home . . .
- My appointments start every day at 3.15p, but it’s ok for me check in early. I’ll have you drop me off at the entrance. If you’re staying to wait for me, go through the self-park line and into the deck. Bring your parking ticket with you when you come back to the lobby so that we can validate it. Come through the front doors, go through the metal detector on the right. You don’t need to stop at the info desk or check in, but if anyone asks you where you’re going, just tell them that you’re going to wait in the lobby for a patient.
- As you pass the metal detectors, turn right and see if there’s a seat along that wall (that’s where I’ll look for you first!). I might already be there waiting for you, unless they call me back quickly. I’ll be able to communicate with you by text to let you know where I am in the process.
- My appointment only takes 10mins, but it depends on how quickly they work me into. Sometimes there’s some waiting involved, but we are usually walking out of Winship between 3.30-4p.
- I’ll have a sticker with me that we can use at the machine to validate your parking.
If you’re picking me up from Winship for a ride home . . .
Arrive at Winship Emory Midtown, 36 Linden Ave, Atl, 30308, anytime between 3.30-4p. Sometimes I’m out quickly (3.30p) but almost always by 4p. Feel free to text or call when you’re close or when you arrive; if I don’t respond, it’s because I’m in the treatment room. I’ll respond as soon as I’m out. If you want to wait in the roundabout without parking, give it a try (assuming I’ll be out quickly). Otherwise, feel free to park and come in (see instructions above). Bring your parking ticket with you, and I can validate it for you so that you don’t have to pay for parking. Once we leave Winship, we’ll be headed to my house (address in the email that I will send you in advance). Between 3.30-5p, traffic can be dicey, but it usually doesn’t take more than 30-40 mins.
